ABBOTSFORD — A local group is set to host its second decade of recognizing community leaders in the Fraser Valley at its upcoming Archway Community Builders’ Awards.

The Archway Board of Directors launched the CBAs in 2006 and has honoured 63 people, businesses and organizations who have made a “meaningful and lasting” impact on their communities, including four heroes who supported the area during the 2021 floods.

“For the past two decades, these awards have recognized the people who strengthen the fabric of our community through volunteerism, philanthropy and leadership,” said Pamela Chatry, CBA co-chair. “Please join us in recognizing our nominee’s efforts in making Abbotsford a more connected, compassionate and vibrant place to live.”

An emerging category has also been added recently to honour those who are newer to service.

The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 14, at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m.
