Man dies after being struck by a train in Hope

HOPE – Police in Hope have confirmed that a man tragically died over the weekend after being struck by a train.

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says Hope RCMP members responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train under the Water Avenue overpass on Saturday, Sept. 26.

“Sadly, a man was located at the scene and did not survive his injuries,” Cpl. Kiener confirmed.

The investigation remains ongoing in collaboration with CN Rail, Cpl. Kiener said.
