Motorist gets ticketed, loses truck for recklessly driving through Abbotsford high school parking lot

ABBOTSFORD – A motorist who drove through an Abbotsford high school parking lot at excessive speeds during the lunch hour last week has been ticketed and had their vehicle impounded for a week.
According to a statement from the Abbotsford Police Department, a student from another Abbotsford school made what police called a “reckless decision” to drive through the Abbotsford Senior Secondary parking lot at excessive speeds last Tuesday, Sept. 15, while students were out enjoying their lunch break.
When a school administrator tried to intervene, police say the driver continued to operate the vehicle dangerously, including driving over a curb while attempting to leave the area.
Abbotsford Police say one of their Youth Squad officers quickly worked to identify the vehicle and attend the registered owner’s residence.
