A person on Facebook claimed that her boyfriend and a friend were driven off the road into an embankment 25 clicks (km) up East Harrison (FSR) Saturday night and “left for dead.”

“The police are looking for the white Toyota Tundra that forced them off. A witness took this video as they were taking off. If anybody knows this guy, has seen the vehicle or has any information please message me,” the person on Facebook claimed. The social media post was circulated on a prominent Chilliwack-area Facebook group over the weekend.

Corporal Kiener says police could not substantiate the claim that one vehicle forced the other off the road.

“Investigation could not find any evidence that the vehicle had been driven off the road,” Cpl. Kiener said. “Two other motorists, including the driver of the white truck, stayed at the scene to check on the occupants and reported the incident to the police, they were cooperative with the investigation. These motorists did leave the scene before police arrived, which may explain the version of events that they fled the scene.”
