Two suspects arrested, multiple stolen vehicles recovered during ongoing Chilliwack RCMP investigation

CHILLIWACK – Police in Chilliwack say they’ve recovered several stolen vehicles from throughout Chilliwack and arrested two people as part of ongoing investigations.

According to a weekly recap for Monday, August 31 through Sunday, September 6, Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says police received a report of a utility trailer and ATV stolen from a residence on Cottonwood Court, located a few blocks southeast of the ICBC driver licensing office on Chilliwack Central Road.

Corporal Kiener says the investigation into the stolen utility trailer and ATV led police to Broadway Street. While the trailer and ATV weren’t immediately located, officers did locate a different stolen vehicle parked behind a residence in the area. Cpl. Kiener says the vehicle had been reported stolen from Fletcher Street two days earlier. The homeowner was not connected to the stolen vehicle and cooperated with police in its recovery.

During the investigation, officers located a licence plate associated with yet another stolen vehicle that had recently been recovered on Woodbine Street. Later that day, the stolen trailer and ATV from the initial report were recovered on Ryder Lake Road and held by police for investigation.
