Update: 87-year-old missing man sadly located deceased

Update, 2:20 p.m. Wednesday: Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Carmen Kiener now says the 87-year-man who was reported missing on Tuesday, Sept. 8, has been sadly located deceased.

The cause of his death is not considered suspicious, police confirmed.

“The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Cpl. Kiener said.

The missing man had been last seen at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Cheam Leisure Centre in Garrison, after being dropped off by family members.
