ABBOTSFORD — Three men have been arrested and charged after shots were fired in a parking lot in Abbotsford early Wednesday (August 26) morning.

Abbotsford police say patrol officers were called to the 2400 block of Clearbrook Road at 6:10 a.m. after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Police say officers arrived to find both the suspects and the victim had left the scene.

Investigators identified and tracked three suspects over the next several hours to a home in the 2300 block of Westerly Street.

Police say Ryan Sawatsky, 33, Lukas Bezanson, 28, and Kyle Kornyk, 34, were taken into custody without incident with help from the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team.

Each has been charged with one count of discharging a firearm while being reckless about the life or safety of another person.

Investigators say the victim has since been located and was not injured.

Major crime detectives are asking anyone who was in the area of Clearbrook Road and Sunrise Crescent, between 5:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and saw suspicious activity or has relevant dashcam footage to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
