Salvation Army garage sale this Saturday in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK β€” The Salvation Army is known for a lot of things, including the ubiquitous red kettles around Christmas, shelter for those experiencing homelessness, and the Chilliwack Community Food Bank, which serves thousands of residents each year who could use a little help.

It was also known for operating a thrift store at one time on Hocking Avenue just west of Yale Road, but has since closed this retail storefront. In its place, the Salvation Army puts on garage sales every so often.

Bargain hunters and like-minded shoppers will have a chance to check out high-quality, discounted items at a Salvation Army garage sale happening this Saturday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Salvation Army Church.

The church is located at 46420 Brooks Avenue down the street from the Alliance Church, off Young Road.

On its Facebook page, the Salvation Army in Chilliwack wrote, β€œIt’s easily going to be our best garage sale yet.”

There will be kitchen appliance items suitable for the countertop, housewares, pillows, cushions, Christmas trees, small furniture items, kids items, clothing, shoes. They are described as new items.

More specifically, several pictures show small kitchen appliances like coffee makers, a Ninja Foodi, a waffle maker, a crockpot, and other similar items will be available for sale.

There is also a rack of jackets featuring various sizes.

Cash, debit and credit will be accepted. Shoppers are asked to bring their own reusable bags in case they need them.

There is no admission fee. Of note, the garage sale will end promptly at noon.
