Chilliwack RCMP notified about reported drowning at Cultus Lake Monday

CULTUS LAKE – As search efforts remain underway to locate a missing female paddleboarder, police in Chilliwack confirm they were notified about a separate reported drowning Monday afternoon at Cultus Lake.

An account on X/Twitter posted Monday that Cultus Lake Fire Department crews were paged at approximately 2:57 p.m. about a reported drowning at Honeymoon Bay.

A male was reported to have been holding on to a paddleboard out in the lake. A boat was requested at approximately 3:01 p.m. to assist in the rescue call, BCScan1 reported.

Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener confirmed to Fraser Valley Today that police were notified about a possible drowning.
