Power out to thousands in Mission due to substation fault

MISSION — More than 15,000 Mission residents may have woken up without the familiar buzz of their electronics due to problems at the local substation this morning (Aug. 9).
BC Hydro reports that power went out at 6:40 a.m. due to a substation fault in locations ranging from south of 10th Avenue and west of Railway Avenue, west of Stave Lake Street and north of Robin Crescent, all the way to east of Welch Avenue, just before Harrison Mills.
