60-year-old man deceased after accident at Harrison Mills campground

HARRISON MILLS – A spokesperson for the Agassiz RCMP detachment has confirmed the tragic death of a 60-year-old man after an accident at a local campground.

Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Staff Sgt. Darryl Peppler says police were called to a campground in Harrison Mills on Friday, July 31, at 5:59 p.m., after getting a report that a man was impaled by a tent pole.

The tragic incident occurred at the Harrison River RV and Campground in Harrison Mills, S/Sgt. Peppler confirmed.

S/Sgt. Peppler says that nothing criminal is suspected, and the BC Coroners Service has taken over the matter.
