Abbotsford drivers lose vehicles after alleged street race
ABBOTSFORD — Two Abbotsford men are without their vehicles for the next seven days after police say they were caught street racing on Clearbrook Road.
Police said patrol officers observed a Ford Mustang and a Chrysler 300 racing shortly after 11 p.m. on Clearbrook Road near McClure Road Monday night (July 27).
According to police, the vehicles reached speeds of 96 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.
The 22-year-old and 29-year-old drivers were stopped and issued for excessive speeding. Police also impounded both vehicles for seven days.
