ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department is looking to amp up efforts as hundreds of impaired drivers have been taken off local roads this year.

Police are building on a campaign that kicked off in 2025, in which 75 red roadside signs were installed around the city at locations where impaired drivers were stopped.

This year, the number of signs will be going up to 100.

“Impaired driving puts our community at risk, causes lasting harm, and is never worth it,” said Sgt. Paul Walker, media relations officer with the AbbyPD. “Enforcement efforts will continue, and AbbyPD officers remain committed to keeping Abbotsford’s roads safe for everyone.”
