Police close Abbotsford park after a body was discovered

ABBOTSFORD – Details are limited at this stage in the investigation, but police in Abbotsford have closed a park Friday morning (June 19) after a body was discovered on its grounds.

According to a short synopsis provided by police, Matsqui Trail Regional Park is currently closed as AbbyPD conducts an investigation.

Police say the closure mainly affects park operations near the end of Riverside Road at Tall Road.

Police say a deceased individual has been found within the park, and officers are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
