Chilliwack, Abbotsford agencies receive free FIFA tickets for kids and youth
CHILLIWACK — The B.C. government has helped provide some free World Cup tickets to young fans who may have been priced out by what many fans described as exorbitant costs.
The province, along with PavCo and the City of Vancouver, has sent out 500 tickets to children and youth organizations across B.C., including the Sto:lo Service Agency in Chilliwack and the Foundry Abbotsford Youth Health Centre.
“We are taking action to make sure British Columbians have more opportunities to feel connected to the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026, particularly for young people experiencing barriers to access,” said Tourism and Sport Minister Anne Kang.
“Sport brings us together and inspires dreams, and we are thrilled to help create this exciting moment of connection to the beautiful game and lasting memories for children and youth in our province.”
