Agassiz RCMP confirm 1 person deceased after getting report of bridge jumper Monday

AGASSIZ – A spokesperson for the Agassiz RCMP detachment has sadly confirmed that a person suspected of jumping from the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge on Monday has been located deceased.

According to a statement from RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, Mounties were called to the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge on Monday afternoon after getting a report of a jumper.

She says one person was located deceased with the assistance of RCMP Air Services and Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue personnel.

Corporal Kiener says police are working with the BC Coroners Service on the investigation.
