Abbotsford driver clocked going more than double 60 km/h speed limit

ABBOTSFORD — Sunday morning didn’t turn out easy for Abbotsford police after they stopped a number of speeding drivers before 9 a.m. today (May 31).

AbbyPD says officers with its Traffic Enforcement Unit had already impounded three vehicles for excessive speeding in the span of one hour – one of them with a drunk driver.

One driver was also clocked going 144 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on King Road near Lefeuvre Road.

“Road safety is a top priority,” said the Abbotsford Police Department. “Our teams remain focused to ensure that those who choose to ignore the rules of the road are held accountable.”
