Heat records set, matched in five B.C. communities across province’s Interior
KELOWNA — Five British Columbia communities reached record temperature highs on Thursday as warm weather blanketed much of Western Canada.
The highest temperatures were reported in Pemberton and Trail, with both tying previous highs by reaching 34.4 degrees.
For Trail, that temperature has not been recorded on May 28 since 1934.
In Kelowna, Environment Canada says temperatures reached 34.1 on Thursday, breaking the old mark of 32.7 degrees set in 1995.
