FRASER VALLEY – Residents in four eastern Fraser Valley communities can enjoy free admission to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre next month, courtesy of Enbridge.

In a statement, Enbridge says residents of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope and the District of Kent can enjoy the MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver on June 14 and 20, with 1,600 free tickets to be given away.

Interested families and individuals only need to register at this link, and provide proof of residence upon entry to the Space Centre.

“Partners like Enbridge help us extend the reach of space education to more families and young people across the Fraser Valley. We hope to inspire more people to connect with science, technology and space exploration,” said Lorraine Lowe, Executive Director of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

Now in its fourth run, the free admission program, “Community Days”, is sponsored by Enbridge, an energy transportation company that operates a natural gas pipeline system throughout British Columbia. The company’s $75,000 sponsorship will help facilitate additional Community Days and other Space Centre activities for communities across the province.

Free admission to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre will happen on June 14 and June 20.
“The strong response to the first three Community Days showed how access to science and space education matters,” said Lorraine Little, Director of Corporate Citizenship and Strategic Partnerships, Enbridge. “We’re proud to help bring that opportunity to more Fraser Valley families and support our future scientists and space explorers.”
