Chilliwack Foundation steps up with generous contribution to keep local seniors connected
CHILLIWACK – For over 40 years, the Chilliwack Foundation has been enriching Chilliwack non-profits and the essential work they do through countless acts of financial support, and their latest gift reflects that lasting legacy.
Toward that end, the foundation recently made a magnanimous donation of $33,000 for a bus within the STARS, or Senior Transportation and Ride Service, program.
The STARS bus offers essential transportation services for Chilliwack seniors, allowing them to stay connected to programs and services in the community.
In a social media post Monday (May 11), Chilliwack Community Services says the contribution makes it possible for CCS to keep the bus operating and continually serving local seniors who could use a lift here and there.
