CHILLIWACK – A restaurant serving breakfast and lunch at the Cottonwood Centre mall in Chilliwack has temporarily closed its doors.

On its corporate website, Cora says its Chilliwack location has closed, but didn’t reveal much else.

“Our restaurant will be closed exceptionally due to unforeseen circumstances,” a message on the corporate website said.

People in a Sardis-area Facebook group said they saw a sign affixed to the restaurant earlier this week indicating it had been closed due to non-payment of rent. That sign was no longer present as of Thursday evening at about 6:45 p.m.

The restaurant had hours of 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. However, on its website, each day of the week is listed as being closed.

The Cora restaurant appears to have been open for approximately five years in Chilliwack based on 32 local reviews, with the oldest one dating back to April 2021 and the most recent review in February 2026.

The Cora Chilliwack restaurant had mixed reviews on Facebook. Of the 32 people who submitted an online review through Facebook, only 50 per cent recommended the Chilliwack location.
