One person deceased after fatal crash on 264 St. in Langley Thursday afternoon: RCMP
LANGLEY – Mounties in Langley have confirmed the death of one person following a motor vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in the 3300 block of 264 Street in Langley.
Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says police were called to a report of a crash at about 4:57 p.m. Thursday. First responders from the Township of Langley Fire Department, British Columbia Ambulance Service and the Langley RCMP immediately attended to the area.
“Tragically, despite life saving efforts, one individual succumbed to their injures at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) have been deployed to assist with the investigation.”
Road closures are in effect in the immediate area and are expected to remain in place for several hours while investigators continue their investigation. Motorists and other road users are asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
