B.C. conservation officers issue minimal tickets in Mission backcountry over Easter long weekend
MISSION –Judging by how many tickets were issued, recreational users in the Mission area were mostly compliant with rules and regulations around backcountry usage over the Easter long weekend.
Personnel from the BC Conservation Officer Service say they patrolled Lost Creek Forest Service Road near Mission over the Easter weekend to ensure public safety in the backcountry.
Of the 120 off-road vehicle users that were checked, four violation tickets and one written warning were issued in conjunction with forest service road use regulations.
One violation ticket pertaining to the Liquor Control and Licensing Act was handed out.
