Cottonwood Centre mall retailer broken into, damaged: Chilliwack RCMP

CHILLIWACK – Mounties in Chilliwack are investigating a break and enter at a Chilliwack retail store that happened last week.

According to a statement from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, police responded to a report at about 3:30 a.m. last Thursday, April 2 alleging that individuals had entered the Cottonwood Centre mall on Luckakuck Way and caused damage to a store inside the mall.

Corporal Kiener says items were taken from the store before the individuals left in a vehicle.

No one has been arrested at this point.

The suspects fled before police arrived.

No one was injured and police are still investigating.

The retail store that was broken into is believed to be Michael Hill Jewellers, according to multiple comments from people on Facebook. One person reported on Facebook that the store was closed on Thursday, Apr. 2 as a result of the break-in.
