Chilliwack RCMP remove 12 impaired drivers from roads; free coffee with an RCMP officer this week
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack RCMP removed over a dozen high-risk drivers from the road during the week of November 14-21, including 12 impaired drivers who posed a risk to fellow drivers.
The Upper Fraser Valley RCMP detachment in Chilliwack posted to Twitter Tuesday (Nov. 22) afternoon that it cited and removed 12 impaired drivers the past week.
Similarly, it nabbed three drivers who were prohibited from driving, and it cited and removed three drivers for excessive speeding.
During the remainder of the week of Nov. 21-25, Chilliwack RCMP will be sitting down with a representative from Chilliwack Restorative Justice (CRJ) and Youth Advocacy Association between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Starbucks on Yale Road near downtown. It’s all part of Restorative Justice Week being held across Canada.
