Lunar New Year festivities gallop into Chilliwack Cultural Centre this February

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack is ringing in the first new moon of the lunar calendar with a smorgasbord of celebratory events this year.

On February 15, the Chilliwack Cultural Centre will be hosting a Lunar New Year program featuring concert performances by Juno-nominated Ginger Beef and the internationally acclaimed Orchid Ensemble, a traditional Lion Dance performance and a martial arts demonstration. 

“Celebrated by communities across the globe, Lunar New Year marks the arrival of the first new moon of the lunar calendar and is a time for renewal, unity, and hope,” said the Centre. 

“You are invited to come together to welcome the Year of the Horse in style, with a celebration that promises inspiration, excitement, and shared joy.”

The event starts at 2 p.m. Tickets and more details are available through the Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s website.
