ANOTHER MULTI-CAR INCIDENT

1 in hospital after three-vehicle incident on Highway 1 near Chilliwack Thursday night

CHILLIWACK — One person has been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle incident on Highway 1 late last night.

BC Emergency Health Services responded to a call at 10:55 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 29) about an incident on the highway near Prest Road in Chilliwack. An ambulance with primary care paramedics and another with advanced care paramedics were paged out to the scene.

“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” BCEHS told Fraser Valley Today.

DriveBC reported an incident on the westbound lane of Highway 1, with nearby drivers saying the scene involved a semi, a taxi and a car.

Tow trucks arrived by 11:05 p.m. Police came in shortly after to reroute motorists. Traffic was reportedly backed up as crews worked.
