Fire destroys mobile home in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — A mobile home was destroyed in a fire late Saturday (Nov. 19) morning in Chilliwack.
When Chilliwack Fire Department crews arrived, flames could be seen rising up a wall of the home and into the roof. Crews also identified a large propane tank near the fire.
While knocking down the flames on the home, crews also focused water on the propane tank to keep it cool, successfully preventing an explosion.
The lone occupant of the home was watching television and noticed smoke outside. The individual was able to quickly get outside and report the fire to 911.
