Youths up to no good in East Abbotsford detained overnight for attempted theft from vehicles
ABBOTSFORD – Two youths who were up to no good were detained early this morning after police got reports the pair had been trying to open vehicle doors in East Abbotsford.
According to a statement of confirmation from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, police were called to Seneca Court at 4:36 a.m. Wednesday morning (Jan. 28) after police were notified that youths were attempting to open vehicle doors in the area.
Sgt. Walker says officers arrived quickly and with a little help from alert residents, located and detained two youths involved. A bicycle found in their possession was seized and returned to its rightful owner.
A person in a Fraser Valley-area Facebook group said she was the one who contacted police about the incident and was genuinely surprised at how honest one of the suspects was.
