Chilliwack RCMP visible in the community in meaningful ways this past week
CHILLIWACK — Members of the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP Regional Detachment in Chilliwack were visible in the community for a number of important events this past week.
The busy week featured road safety checks and removal of impaired drivers, the collection of over 200 toques from a Chilliwack church, a Senior Safety presentation for residents of Elim Village, participation in the Officer in Charge Awards ceremony, and the sombre involvement in Remembrance Day.
The Upper Fraser Valley RCMP posted on social media that as part of its ongoing commitment to road safety, Chilliwack RCMP removed seven impaired drivers from the road and five motorists for excessive speed for the week of November 7-14.
On Wednesday, November 16, the RCMP expressed wholehearted thanks to volunteers from the Community of Christ Church for supplying them with over 200 toques.
