ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford have wrapped up 2025 with a number of minor calls for service, including the arrest of a border runner over New Year’s Eve.
AbbyPD responded to a call near McKenzie Road and Farmer Road regarding a person illegally crossing into Canada. The individual has since been arrested and turned over to the CBSA as a result.
The incident is one of 67 total files overnight, most of which were for noisy parties, alarms and thefts. Eight impaired drivers were also removed from Abbotsford roads.
“As we close the chapter on 2025, AbbyPD reflects on a year of dedication and service to our community,” wrote AbbyPD in a social media post. “From crime prevention to emergency response, every call mattered.”
