Langley Township, partners remove 300+ big rigs from area roads in 2025, with more crackdowns on the way
LANGLEY — The Township of Langley says its bylaw enforcement members teamed up with partner agencies in 2025 to issue more than 500 tickets to unsafe or noncompliant commercial vehicles.
And they have no plans to let up in the coming year.
In a statement issued Monday (Dec. 29), the township says its bylaw enforcement personnel worked with area agencies to make area roads safer by repeatedly inspecting big rigs, identifying safety violations and ensuring compliance.
The municipality says bylaw members collaborated as part of joint enforcement operations with partner agencies, resulting in 598 inspections, over 500 tickets issued and over 300 commercial vehicles placed out of service.
