CHILLIWACK — Mounties in Chilliwack are appealing to the public for help in identifying a person as part of an investigation into an indecent act on Vedder Road.

According to a statement from S/Sgt. Darryl Peppler, detachment commander for the Agassiz RCMP, Chilliwack RCMP received a report on October 30, 2025, about an indecent act committed in the parking lot in the 6600 block of Vedder Road, in the BMO/Tim Hortons/Shoppers shopping centre.

S/Sgt. Peppler says a man was allegedly engaging in the act inside a red car with a unique silver stripe. Police say the same man has previously been seen in the area and reported due to his suspicious and concerning behaviour.

“We are releasing a photograph of the man and asking anyone with information that could assist police with identifying him to contact police,” says S/Sgt. Peppler, UFVRD RCMP. “Identifying this man will assist with advancing our investigation and understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

If anyone can identify this man, please contact Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 and quote file 2025-46651 or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact CrimeStoppers at 1 800 222 TIPS (8477).

A Chilliwack-area Facebook user alleged in late October that a person matching the image accompanying this story had been allegedly engaged in concerning behaviour involving a family members of hers, leading to police reports being filed about the man. The concerning behaviour allegedly included leaving notes on the family member’s vehicle and allegedly waiting for the family member to get off work, as well as alleged damage to the family member’s vehicle.
