ABBOTSFORD — Cottage and Worthington Pavilion in Abbotsford has recently received new equipment to help patients take steps forward into better mobility.

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) donated a state-of-the-art Arjo platform walker – a mobility aid that better supports patients’ posture and activity than an average walker or rollator.

Haalah Mazhar, an occupational therapist at Cottage and Worthington Pavilion, says the tool has helped residents regain confidence, improve mobility and build a stronger sense of independence.

“Many have shared they feel ‘uplifted’ and genuinely supported during their walks; moments that bring joy, dignity and hope into their daily lives,” said Mazhar. “We are deeply grateful for FVHCF’s compassion and commitment.”
