Gig delivery driver’s need for speed backfires: Abbotsford PD
ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a DoorDash driver’s attempt to expedite a takeout order by going more than double the speed limit in a posted 50 zone backfired in a big way Sunday.
The Abbotsford PD says they clocked the gig driver at 117 km/h in a posted 50 zone on Marshall Road.
“If you’re still waiting on a DoorDash grocery order today and wondering what’s taking so long… we can clear that up for you,” police said. “Your driver decided to turn Marshall Road extension into their personal racetrack, clocking in at 117 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. Bold strategy… not a winning one.”
