MISSION – Police in Mission allege that a 48-year-old woman from Langley who showed signs of being impaired behind the wheel of a Range Rover last week allegedly resisted arrest and became combative during a welfare check.

Mission RCMP spokesperson Corporal Harrison Mohr says a resident reported a possible impaired driver in a white Range Rover near 4th Avenue in Mission at approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, October 5.  Mission RCMP attended and found the Range Rover stopped in the middle of an alleyway nearby.

Police say the woman in the driver’s seat appeared to be intentionally ignoring police, but officers opened the door and saw that the woman exhibited symptoms of being impaired by drugs.

Cpl. Mohr says the woman allegedly resisted arrest and tried to kick officers while being taken into custody.
