Langley RCMP investigate overnight shooting that sent 1 to hospital

LANGLEY – Police in Langley say one person has been transported to hospital following a shooting on 205 Street in Langley early Monday morning.

Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says police responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of 205 Street Monday morning, Sept. 28, shortly after midnight.

First responders from Langley RCMP and Emergency Health Services attended the scene and found one person who had been injured as a result of this shooting. The victim was immediately transported to a local area hospital for further treatment.

“Investigators believe that this is a targeted and an isolated incident,” Sgt. Sharoom said. Our officers will remain in the area today to canvas for video surveillance and potential witnesses to further the investigation.”
