New handyDART upgrades go live in Chilliwack, Abbotsford-Mission
CHILLIWACK — Some transit riders in the Fraser Valley may now have better ways of getting around with the launch of new handyDART systems in the region.
Starting this week, BC Transit’s partnership with Spare has launched in Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Mission to make booking and trip management easier with online or mobile app options, real-time trip updates, trip changes without calling, and more.
“Today’s launch in Chilliwack and Central Fraser Valley is the first step in modernizing the systems used to deliver handyDART service in 28 transit systems across the province,” said Kristoffer Vik Hansen, Spare CEO, on Thursday (Sept. 10).
“For riders who depend on these services every day — to get to medical appointments, to work, to see family — an accessible booking experience matters.”
