Abbotsford police kept busy by dangerous drivers

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford police have been busy dealing with violations along roads in the city, issuing 58 violation tickets over the last 24 hours.

Police say one of the worst offenders was a 36-year-old driver who was spotted in a 50 kmh zone doing 110 kmh while crossing into an oncoming lane to pass an unmarked police vehicle. That driver had their vehicle impounded immediately.

Over the last day, three vehicles have been impounded for excessive speeding, five impaired drivers were removed from the roads, and two prohibited drivers were arrested.

Abbotsford police are reminding all motorists that dangerous drivers will get caught. They say the best solution is to slow down and drive responsibly.
