Boston Bar RCMP supporting public safety efforts as wildfire complex hits 35,000 hectares
BOSTON BAR — Mounties in Boston Bar are renewing their commitment to public safety as crews tackle the more than 35,000-hectare Brunswick Complex wildfire.
The three out-of-control fires grew by roughly 1,500 hectares between Friday and Saturday night, according to an update from the BC Wildfire Service.
The fire experienced moderate growth and is expected to remain that way today (July 26) as light winds, slight rain and temperature drops are forecast in the region. Wind gusts are still possible and may increase fire activity in exposed areas.
Evacuation orders remain for Boston Bar and south of the community, as well as its surrounding areas in Hells Gate and Scuzzy Creek FSR.
