Jets sign first-round pick Viggo Bjorck to three-year, entry-level deal

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets have signed first-round pick Viggo Bjorck to a three-year, entry-level contract, the NHL team announced Monday.

The contract has average annual value of US$1.075 million.

Bjorck was the eighth overall pick in June’s draft.

He was coming off a 15-point season (six goals, nine assists) for Djurgardens of the Swedish Hockey League.
