Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms president to speak at Chilliwack forum in May
CHILLIWACK – The president of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms will speak at a forum in mid-May in Chilliwack.
John Carpay, the president and founder of the Calgary-based JCCF, is slated to speak at a “Rights & Freedoms” forum on Wednesday, May 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Loft inside the Landing Sports Centre, 45530 Spadina Avenue, in Chilliwack.
The event is being hosted by Chilliwack North MLA Heather Maahs and moderated by Kyle Van Ruitenburg.
Carpay, the featured speaker, was born in the Netherlands and grew up in British Columbia, according to his bio on the JCCF website. He earned his B.A. in Political Science at Laval University in Quebec City, and his LL.B. from the University of Calgary. He is fluent in English, French and Dutch. He previously served as Alberta director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, which advocates for lower taxes, less waste and more responsive, accountable government.
