Chilliwack RCMP investigate vehicle vs. cyclist Monday night, determine cyclist was highly intoxicated
CHILLIWACK – A report about a vehicle hitting a cyclist Monday night near Yale Road and Hodgins Avenue had a slightly different outcome once Chilliwack RCMP members investigated.
According to a statement from RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, first responders attended the Yale/Hodgins area for the report of a vehicle hitting a cyclist at 8:13 p.m. Monday night.
Once police investigated, Corporal Kiener says, they determined that the cyclist fell into the back panel of a vehicle that was stopped on the roadway.
Corporal Kiener says the cyclist was conscious and highly intoxicated with a possible injury to the head. The cyclist was brought to the hospital for further medical treatment.
