Public hearing set for plan to convert 3 homes into 16-unit seniors housing complex in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK – A public hearing will be held in early May around a proposed plan to convert three single-family homes east of Little Mountain into 16 units of seniors housing.
According to item 7.13 on last week’s Chilliwack City Council agenda, the City of Chilliwack has received a proposal to rezone 9660, 9672 and 9682 Gibson Road to facilitate the construction of a multi-unit independent senior living facility.
The proposal calls for 16 residential units within two single-storey apartment buildings, including one building with 12 units and one building containing four units. The two apartment buildings would be connected by a covered outdoor amenity area and include 2 common lounge rooms, an indoor common amenity area with a kitchen, a front reception area with an office and an adjacent storage room.
