Chilliwack residents invited for fundraising walk to help rehabilitate individuals coming out of prison

CHILLIWACK — A local nonprofit is hoping to make strides in compassionately keeping former inmates out of trouble with an upcoming fundraising event in Chilliwack.
Steps of Hope is set to be held at Greendale Acres this coming Saturday, May 2.
“By walking together, we break down barriers of stigma, foster belonging, and raise essential funds to provide mentorship, housing support, and job opportunities for those rebuilding their lives,” said M2W2, or Mentoring Toward Wholeness Together.
Abbotsford-based M2W2 is an organization that helps reintegrate the currently incarcerated and those recently released back into society through practical support, mentorship and community connections.
