CHILLIWACK — A Chilliwack resident has been arrested after a Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) investigation that led to the seizure of drugs and cash in the Lower Mainland.

CFSEU-BC’s anti-trafficking task force launched an investigation in February 2025.

On June 24, the two suspects were arrested, and police executed search warrants at their homes in Chilliwack and Coquitlam.

Officers seized cocaine, fentanyl, morphine, hydromorphone, meth, cash and other drug trafficking items like packing materials and cellphones during the investigation.

Federal prosecutors approved several charges related to the investigation in March this year, although neither man was in custody at the time.

Chilliwack’s Jerry William Lyons, 59, was charged with two counts of possession for trafficking cocaine, while 33-year-old Kousha Vahabi Adl from Coquitlam was charged with two counts of the same charge, as well as one count each of possession for trafficking morphine, hydromorphone, meth and fentanyl.

“Drug trafficking operations like this don’t just move illicit substances, they endanger our communities,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, Media Relations Officer of CFSEU-BC. “With the arrest of the accused and the laying of serious trafficking charges, we are holding those responsible accountable.”

Both Lyons and Vahabi Adl turned themselves in over the following month. They are expected to appear in court at a later date.
