LANGLEY — Mounties responded to another targeted stabbing in Langley Friday afternoon (Apr. 17), but police say it’s unrelated to last night’s incident.

At around 2:06 p.m., RCMP officers were paged out to a disturbance in the 2700 block of Fraser Highway, where they found two youths suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Both were taken to local hospitals in serious, but non-life-threatening conditions.

“We recognize that two stabbing incidents occurring on consecutive days are understandably concerning for the community,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.

“Police can confirm that today’s incident is not related to the stabbing reported yesterday.”

Investigators believe there is no ongoing risk to the public, as this stabbbing was also targeted.
