Mar 27, 2026 | 9:10 AM

LANGLEY — BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) is once again seeking a driver who failed to stop after hitting the Highway 1 overpass between Glover Road and 232nd Street in Langley.

The incident happened on the highway’s westbound lanes on March 24, just before 4 p.m. – this time involving an auto transport trailer.

“The driver did not stop at the scene and has not yet come forward to the police,” says Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. “If the truck driver won’t call us, we need witnesses and dash camera video to identify the truck and driver.”

The BCHP is reminding drivers that they must report to the police or the property owner any collision that may damage private or government property.

Anyone who saw this overpass strike, has dash-camera video, or has information about the driver of the transport truck is asked to call BC Highway Patrol – Burnaby at 604-526-9744 and quote file number (1003) 2026-897.

This has been the second time in one week that a driver failed to report a strike on the overpass.
