Evacuation Alerts in place for homes in Chilliwack River Valley

CHILLIWICK — Evacuation alerts have been issued for more than two dozen properties within the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) due to the risk of flooding created by the ongoing atmospheric river weather event.
The 30 properties at risk are in the Chilliwack River Valley along Wilson Road and Sheldon Road.
Those who are residing on the impacted properties should be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice if the situation worsens.
Sandbags are available to impacted residents at the Chilliwack River Valley Firehall.
