Mission-area workplaces targeted by thieves: RCMP

MISSION – Mounties in Mission say two commercial workplaces within its catchment policing area were recently hit by thieves, one of which had a large volume of power tools stolen from its premises.

According to a statement from police, one commercial workplace near Hatzic had a number of Dewalt cordless drills, impacts drills, and a skill saw stolen from the worksite.

Another workplace near the Gill Avenue Industrial Park was targeted by fuel thefts on more than one occasion. About 200 litres of marked diesel fuel was taken from three different vehicles parked on site, police say.

Anyone with information about either of these thefts should contact Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161 and reference files 2026-1434 and 2026-1488.

The incidents were two of 336 calls for service the Mission RCMP detachment field between Monday, February 2 and Sunday, February 8.
